About Us
Huckleberry Finn's Steamboat Adventures was founded by the young Huckleberry Finn and his friend Jim, who traveled together down the Mississippi on a raft. We are devoted to providing all our customers with the details of that journey, and to preserving the evidence left behind by Huck and others.
Huckleberry Finn
One of our two founders, Huckleberry Finn, was only thirteen when he first rafted down the Mississippi. Born to an uneducated country-man, Huck was eventually introduced into civiliazation by the Widow Douglas, who acted as his adoptive mother of sorts.
Jim
Jim, the second founder of our organization, was born into slavery. However, when he realized that his owner would soon sell him, he ran away from his owner and joined Huck on an odyssey down the Mississippi. At the journey's end, Jim was made a free man by his mistress's last will and testament.
